Mortgage Fees

Our fees are fixed and depend only on the complexity of your case. Three commitments hold on every one.

01

Disclosed Upfront

We'll tell you which fee applies, and when each part is payable, on our first call — confirmed in writing before any work begins.

02

Fixed Fees

£750 for standard cases, £1,250 for specialist. Fixed amounts, no hourly billing, no surprises at the end.

03

Nothing to Remortgage

Existing Kite Mortgages clients pay no fee to remortgage their current home.

What you'll pay

The fee depends on which of two categories your case falls into. Whichever applies, it's payable in two stages — part on receipt of your mortgage offer, and the balance on completion.

Standard Cases

This covers the majority of residential mortgages. If your circumstances mean your case falls into the specialist category, we will let you know in our first meeting.

Total fee

£750

On mortgage offer

£250

On completion

£500

Specialist Cases

This covers cases involving additional structuring or documentation — for example foreign currency mortgages, equity compensation including Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), expatriate and overseas mortgages, buy-to-let, and the use of government schemes.

Total fee

£1,250

On mortgage offer

£500

On completion

£750

Fees are payable in two stages. The first part falls due when your mortgage offer is issued, and the balance on completion.

Each payment is non-refundable once made. By the point a payment falls due, the work it covers has been done — your mortgage offer has been secured, or your case has completed. The offer-stage payment is due once the offer has been issued, whether or not the purchase later completes.

You will always know both figures, and when each is payable, from our first conversation.

Procuration Fees

We also receive a commission from the lender. You will receive an illustration when considering a particular mortgage, which will tell you about any commission relating to it.

We charge a client fee to reflect the work involved in advising on, structuring and arranging your mortgage, and to ensure a high quality of service across every case.

Specialist cases carry a higher fee because of the additional structuring and documentation these scenarios involve.

Protection Fees

We will arrange the policy with the insurer on your behalf; you do not pay us a fee for doing this. Instead, we receive commission from the insurer, which is a percentage of the total annual premium.

You will receive an illustration when considering a particular protection policy, which will tell you about any commission relating to it.
